Mae David yn defnyddio ffotograffiaeth analog a digidol i archwilio syniadau am dirwedd a'r amgylchedd. Gellir rhannu ei waith yn fras yn ffotograffiaeth arsylwadol neu 'ffotograffiaeth dawel', a gwaith gyda dull mwy cysyniadol trwy haniaethu, collage a'r ddelwedd adeiledig.

Ers symud yn ôl i Dde Cymru yn haf 2019, mae David wedi bod yn ailgysylltu â'r ardal a adawodd yn blentyn. Mae'r broses hon wedi sbarduno datblygiad gwaith diweddar sydd, yn ogystal â chyfeirio at ei wreiddiau ei hun, yn dogfennu tirweddau esblygol De Cymru, gan fyfyrio ar eu synnwyr o le a rôl ffotograffiaeth mewn dogfennu hanesyddol.

Ers cwblhau MA mewn Cyfryngau Cyfathrebu yn 2006 a chymrodoriaeth blwyddyn ym Mhrifysgol Gorllewin Lloegr (UWE), mae David wedi arddangos ledled y DU. Ymhellach i ffwrdd, roedd yn brif artist ar raglen gyfnewid rhwng Bryste a Hannover (2018/19) ac yn rhan o brosiect ‘Cardiau Post o Brydain Fawr’ Shutterhub yn Haarlem, yr Iseldiroedd (2020). Mae uchafbwyntiau diweddar yng Nghymru yn cynnwys curadu’r sioe grŵp a ariannwyd gan CCC, Hibernators|Gaeafgwsg, yn 2022 ac yn 2024 yn cael ei harddangos fel rhan o’r arddangosfa Inside/Out yn Oriel Y bont, USW. Cyhoeddodd David ei lyfr lluniau cyntaf ‘joining the dots..’ ym mis Ebrill 2025.
